Bio
Anthony Jeselnik is an American comedian, television host, writer, producer and actor best known for his pitch-black sense of humour and blistering Comedy Central Roast appearances, as well as stand-up appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live, among many other shows.
He is known for his dark comedy style, which emphasises misdirection and sociopathic non-sequiturs. For his standup performance, Jeselnik adopts an arrogant, villainous persona.
Jeselnik was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned a BA in English Literature from Tulane University and resides in Los Angeles.
Anthony's dark sense of humour, brilliant joke writing and devilish charm have made him a smash hit in the alternative comedy community and one of Daily Variety's Comedy's 10 to Watch.
Anthony has appeared as a stand-up on Down and Dirty with Jim Norton (HBO), Late Night with Conan O'Brien (NBC), Premium Blend (Comedy Central), Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) and Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC).
Anthony has been a member of the writing staff of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and he wrote for Sarah Silverman for her 2010 appearances on the MTV Movie Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and Comedy Central's Night of Too Many Stars.
He also joined the dais for the 2011 Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump.
Anthony has performed to tremendous response at the Bumbershoot Music and Comedy Festival in Seattle, as well as HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen.
His first album, Shakespeare, was named Punchline Magazine's Comedy Album of 2010, and The Onion AV Club noted that Jeselnik's freshman album radiates the confidence of an experienced veteran.
In 2013 he created, co-produced and hosted two seasons of the late-night talk show The Jeselnik Offensive.
