Tyson Ritter is an American singer-songwriter and occasional model and actor best known as the lead singer and bassist of the rock band The All-American Rejects.
He is best known to television audiences for his recurring tole as Oliver Rome, a musician who works for a fictional label and has his own band called Ashes of Rome, in the comedy-drama series Parenthood.
Ritter lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma for most of his life. Being an AC/DC fan, he loved rock music and was in middle school when music started to take centre stage in his life.
He began to write his own songs until high school, when he met Nick Wheeler, a guitarist and keyboardist. Wheeler is a fan of '80s glam-rock, as well as Def Leppard, Poison and Bon Jovi and picked up the skills of guitar playing very quickly.
Ritter and Wheeler's collaboration lead to the founding of The All-American Rejects. By 2000, guitarist Mike Kennerty and drummer Chris Gaylor, had joined the band. The band has been putting out records under since 2001, when they released their eponymous debut.
Ritter has appeared in TV shows and movies such as House, The House Bunny and Betas.
