Innocent Mahlangu is a South African actor best known for his recurring role as Orlando on the Mzansi Magic soap opera Zabalaza.
He was born in Gannalagte, also known as Maloka, in North West province near the small town of Delareyville. He attended Logaga Primary School and Molete Middle School in Gannalagte and was involved in nmumerous school activities, including drama.
Innocent then moved permanently to Johannesburg in the year 2000 during his high school, as he loved and had passion for drama and performing. His philosophy of acting is that the purpose of an actor is to serve a character in body, soul and mind.
In the year 2009, having worked in different companies, he decided to pursue his passion and enrolled to study Drama Art at Thuthuka Institution. After completing the course he start learning more about what the industry is all about and began doing some featured jobs.
The shoot he loved doing and enjoyed most was when he shot the movie The Material with Riaad Moosa, and he also appeared in an ad for Star Beer on AfricaMagic.
After that he landed the supporting role of Orlando in Zabalaza, regularly appearing in the first two seasons of the show.
In 2015 he played the role of Phila on the radio drama Monna Banneng, which aired at 10h30 on weekdays on Motsweding FM. He also plays the role of Sabelo in the feature film Obsessed.
In 2018, Innocent played the recurring role of Zola on the Moja Love telenovela Hope, making his first appearance on 11 April.
