Ally Sheedy is an American actress and author who, following her film debut in 1983's Bad Boys, became known as one of the Brat Pack group of actors in the films The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire.
She is also known for her roles in WarGames, Short Circuit and High Art, for which she received critical acclaim.
Ally first appeared on the silver screen in 1983 alongside Sean Penn in Bad Boys. Since then she has appeared in over 50 film and television projects including War Games, The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire, Short Circuit, Only The Lonely (opposite John Candy), Life During Wartime (director Todd Solondz), and High Art (Independent Spirit Award-Best Actress 1999).
Ally played Hedwig in an off-Broadway production Hedwig and the Angry Inch in 2000 and played the recurring role of Mr. Yang in the comedy-drama police procedural series Psych.
She also had a starring role as Celeste, a mother in her 30s who has something mysterious about her and although some people try to pin it on her European roots, it just comes down to the fact that she's bit of an odd duck, in the Neil LaBute series Full Circle.
