Lerato Moloi is a South African fashion model and actress who rose to prominence after becoming the first black face for the cosmetics brand Elizabeth Arden, in 2009.
She is not to be confused with actress and model Lerato Zah Moloi.
Lerato grew up in Sharpeville township in Gauteng. When she was 17 her mother encouraged her to try out modelling and they went to see an agency.
In 1999 she was a semi-finalist in the Face of Africa competition held in Swaziland after her mother entered her. In 2002 she was a finalist in the M-Net Face of Africa pageant.
Since then she has walked runways at Fashion Week shows all over the world.
In 2015 she was one of the celebrity contestants on the M-Net reality competition Celebrity MasterChef South Africa. She also joined the cast of the SABC1 soapie Generations in the role of Scarlet, a businesswoman.
