Emily Hampshire is a Canadian actress best known for her film roles as Angelina in the romantic comedy Boy Meets Girl and as Vivienne in the drama Snow Cake.
She is also known for her role as Jennifer Goines, an erratic, ranting and seemingly unhinged maths genius who meets Cole in a high-security psych ward for the criminally insane and leads him on a twist-filled journey to track down the virus her estranged father created, in the science fiction television series 12 Monkeys.
Born and raised in Montreal, her work has been recognised by the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television with three Genie Award Nominations, a Gemini Award for her work on the small screen and she was chosen by her peers in the Canadian Actors Guild as a nominee for 'Outstanding Female Performance' at the ACTRA Awards.
In 2013, Variety named her an 'International Star You Need To Know' while also being featured on the NextGen Canada list by The Hollywood Reporter the same week.
On the big screen, she appeared opposite Robert Pattison in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis (for which she received a Birks Canadian Diamond Award during the 2012 Cannes International Film Festival).
Additional film credits include My Awkward Sexual Adventure, The Returned, That Burning Feeling (opposite John Cho) and All the Wrong Reasons (opposite Kevin Zegers and Cory Monteith).
