Tovah Feldshuh is an American actress, singer and playwright best known for her role as Deanna Monroe, a former congressperson from Ohio who acts as the leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone located in Washington, DC. and assigns Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors job roles based on their characteristics and backgrounds, in the television horror series The Walking Dead.
She is a Broadway star, earning numerous Tony Award nominations. She has also received two Emmy Award nominations for Holocaust and Law & Order, and appeared in such films as A Walk on the Moon, She's Funny That Way and Kissing Jessica Stein.
