Mark Ghanimé is a Canadian actor best known for his starring role as Major Sergio Balleseros, the Army liaison with the rapid response team headed by Dr. Alan Farragut, in the science fiction horror series Helix.
Ghanimé was born and raised in Montreal, Canada to a Lebanese father and Canadian mother. With his diverse background, he grew up speaking French, English and Arabic.
In 2003, Mark found himself doing a background role in Chasing Freedom starring Juliette Lewis and, from the minute he stepped on set, Mark knew he wanted to pursue acting as a career.
He started with commercials and then was offered his first guest star on the popular CBC show Wild Roses. He then went on to guest star on Smallville, Supernatural, The Secret Circle and Fairly Legal.
In 2013, Mark was cast as the supporting lead opposite Steven Weber and Treat Williams in the mini-series Eve of Destruction. He then went on to recur as Dr. Jamie Albagetti alongside Mamie Gummer in the CW series Emily Owens, followed by Arrow and the pilot, The Hunters, with Victor Garber and Alexa Vega.
