David Louw is a South African actor best known for his starring roles in kykNET soapies as Petrus Steyn in Villa Rosa and as Simon Greeff in Getroud met Rugby: Die Sepie.
Originally form Vrede in the Free State, David moved to Johannesburg to pursue his acting career, where he received four-year Stage and Film Training at PALI (Performing Arts and Lifestyle Institution).
He has performed in Pick One (Theatr Uncut), Vaselinetjie, 'n Tyd om lief te hê at the Foxwood Theatre, Nag van Legio, Hardloop Dominee at the Pierneef and Breytenbach Theatres, Monophobia, No Service Please, We're South African!, at the Pretoria State Theatre as well as The Seagull.
Other television credits include roles on the SABC2 series 7de Laan and Hillside.
David has had movie roles in films such as Modder en Bloed, Wolwedans in die Skemer, Rowwe Diamante, Forsaken, the short film Vuilwasgoed and full feature Sy Klink Soos Lente.
In January 2016 he began filming on the kykNET soapie Getroud met Rugby: Die Sepie (Married to Rugby: The Soapie), based on Deon Opperman's film and television drama series of the same name.
