Damon Berry is a South African actor and voice artist best known for his recurring role as Barry the Producer on the SABC1 sitcom My Perfect Family.
He received a National Higher Diploma in Drama with distinction from the Tswane University of Technology in 1994 and has since built a resumé of acting in television, film, theatre, shorts and voice over work.
TV series he has acted in include Zero Tolerance, To the Ends of the Earth, Snitch, FONT, Feast of the Uninvited, Unsung Hero, History of America, Fallen, Binneland, Skeem Saam, Loitering in Jozi and Ashes to Ashes.
Feature films he has appeared in include Pets, Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, Black Butterflies, Winnie, Mandela's Gun, Last Broken Darkness and My Father's War.
His stage work includes The Glass Menagerie, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Amadeus, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Without a Hitch and Nothing Funny.
As a voice artist, he has been behind the microphone for many years, doing numerous radio, television and corporate reads. Behind the scenes, he stars as the lovable muppet Neno in the award-winning educational television series Takalani Sesame, performing in nine languages.
He has written and directed four stage plays and four short films. His short film Sex Drive was nominated as a New York Minute Film Festival finalist in 2007, while Supermama won the Off-the-Shelf Film Festival Best Comedy award in 2008. He has two completed feature film scripts to his name, Get Lucky and The Adventures of Supermama.
Damon has also acted in numerous television commercials for clients including Aero, KFC, Jack Links, Dimension Data, Game, Toyota, Cosmote and Virgin Active.
In 2016 he began starring in the e.tv action series The Alliance as Vladimir "The Russian" Gorelev, a sadistic gangster who is the son of a former Soviet Navy Lieutenant.
