Shalita Grant is an American actress best known for her role as NCIS Special Agent Sonja Percy on the police procedural television series NCIS: New Orleans. Recurring in the first season, she was promoted to series regular for Season 2.
In addition to her role on NCIS: New Orleans, Grant has a recurring role in the public television miniseries Mercy Street.
Grant made her Broadway debut playing Cassandra in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, for which she earned a Tony Award nomination for Featured Actress in a Play and a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut.
Her off-Broadway credits include originating the role of Cassandra in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at Lincoln Center, The Philanderer (The Pearl Theatre Company), Measure for Measure, The Winter's Tale and Merchant of Venice (The Public Theater).
She has also done regional theatre at The McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, N.J. and Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, among others.
Grant's additional television credits include guest roles on The Good Wife, Battle Creek, Bones and Melissa & Joey. Her film credits include Empire Corner, Invisible and Rehearsing A Dream, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary.
She is a graduate of the Julliard School and is affiliated with the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.
