Kayise Ngqula is a South African actress best known for her role as Portia in the SABC1 drama series Mina Nawe. It was her first starring acting role.
Her only prior credit was a guest starring role as a journalist on the second season of the Mzansi Magic drama series It's Complicated, in an episode that aired on 20 November, 2016 (Season 2, Episode 7).
Originally from East London, she matriculated from The Glen High School in Pretoria in 2008.
In 2017 she won the inaugural Our Perfect Wedding Presenter Search on Mzansi Magic, in a public vote. She presented episodes in Seasons 7 and 8 from 2017 to 2018.
On a related note, she appeared as herself in the role of OPW Presenter in an episode of the Mzansi Magic telenovela Ring of Lies which aired on 11 June, 2018 (Season 2, Episode 181).
The following year she had a recurring guest role as Zandile's (Matshepo Maleme) sister in the SABC1 soapie Skeem Saam, making her first appearance in Season 8, Episode 61 (which aired on 30 September).
She also played the recurring role of a sister wife on the 1Magic drama series iThemba, making her first appearance in the series premiere on 5 October, 2019.
In 2020 she played the recurring role of Beauty on the second season of the Mzansi Magic drama series Housekeepers, making her first appearance in the Season 2 premiere, which aired on 15 June, 2020.
Later that year she landed another recurring role, this time as Sister Palesa on the SABC1 miniseries Amazing Grace, making her first appearance in the series premiere on 1 December, 2020.
In 2020/2021 Kayise hosted the Moja Love reality show Bring Back My Smile, which helps people with their dental problems with a view to boosting their self confidence. It premiered in December 2020.
She began 2021 with the recurring role of Nelisiwe on the BET Africa telenovela Isono. Her first appearance was on 19 January, 2021 (Season 1, Episode 66).
