Bio
Karli Heine is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Kara in the kykNET drama series Die Boekklub, joining the cast in Season 2.
She matriculated from Durbanville High School in 2009, where she took part in numerous dramatic productions. She went on to do a B Dram Bachelors at Stellenbosch University, graduating in 2012 before doing Honours the following year (majoring in Cabaret).
Karli was first noticed professionally in a production called 18* (directed by Marthinus Basson), which was staged at the Aardklop festival.
She has since gone on to act in numerous theatre productions including the Basson productions of Op Dees Aarde and Bos; Die Fluitspeler van Hamelin, 4000 Myl, Vlooi en die Sneeuman and Heidi.
In 2013 she appeared in a short film called Bloedson, produced by Moebius Films. She went on to make her television acting debut in Moebius Films' crime anthology series Die Boland Moorde in the same year, returning for a different guest role in the second season in 2017.
In 2015 Kari played the recurring role of Lisa in the kykNET mockumentary series Buurtwag. In the same year she made her film debut in Stefan Nieuwoudt's rom-com Strikdas.
In 2017 she landed her first starring role in television in the second season of the kykNET drama series Die Boekklub (The Book Club), playing the role of Kara - the daughter of Hanli and Johan who returns home to Merweville and uproots their lives.
