Bio
Nomalanga Nkosi is a South African actress best known for her role as Phumla, who has a relationsip with a Ben 10, on the e.tv soapie Scandal!, joining the show in 2015.
Having studied for a BA in Fine Art from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, she later trained as a television presenter at On Cue Communications.
She began her television career in 2013 when she presented the Urban Brew series Butterfly Effect. In the same year she made her television acting debut with a cameo on the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan.
In 2014 she had a guest starring role as Pinky on Generations and the recurring role of Penelope Mosia on the Mzansi Magic drama series Saints and Sinners, which she reprised for the second season in 2016.
Also in 2014, she had a guest starring role in an episode of the eKasi+ comedy series uSkroef noSexy, which also aired on e.tv.
The following year she landed the role of Phumla in Scandal!, who went on to have a relationship with a much younger man (a Ben 10), in the form of Scelo (played by Mbulelo Katise).
In 2016 she had a guest starring role in an episode of the SABC1 legal drama series Sokhulu & Partners and also had a guest role as a nurse on the e.tv drama series Umlilo, appearing in Season 4, Episode 10 (which aired on 29 August).
Nomalanga landed her first acting starring role as Lesedi Mahlatse in the SABC1 miniseries Emjindini, which revolves around a humble miner in a small town who stumbles upon a horde of gold coins. The series premiered on 16 September, 2018.
