Bio
Twasa (real name Seipati Seoke) is a South African radio and television presenter, kwaito artist, DJ and MC best known for presenting the SABC1 youth show Jam Alley, from 2003-2011.
She is also known as an on-air personality for radio station Lesedi FM, joining the station in 2000.
In 2008, Twasa was a guest judge on an episode of the SABC2 reality competition series I Want to Sing Gospel, appearing in Season 1, Episode 8 (which aired on 21 September, 2008).
The other guest judges in the episode were music producer Tshepo Nzimande, talent scout Lindelani Mkhize and creator of the Crown Gospel awards, Zanele Mbokazi.
She was the featured guest on an episode of the SABC2 talk show Motswako which aired on Monday 23 April, 2012. In it she told host Penny Lebyane about her journey from humble beginnings into the limelight, from sexual abuse to her career in broadcasting and music.
Twasa was also the featured guest in a Season 4 episode of the SABC1 music talk show Zaziwa, hosted by Pearl Modiadie, which aired on 4 August, 2016.
In 2019 she was one of the hosts of the 25th South African Music Awards (SAMAs), partnered with hip-hop star Khuli Chana to relive the moments that made the 2000s a vibrant period in local music.
