Bio
Llandi Beeslaar is a South African actress best known for her role as sidekick Mielie Senekal in the kykNET variety show Republiek van Zoid Afrika.
Hailing from Secunda, she matriculated from Hoërskool Oosterland in Secunda in 2008. The following year she attended an Actors Studio workshop at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
Returning home, she began a BA Drama degree at the University of Pretoria in 2010, before moving to Stellenbosch where she completed her degree in 2014.
The following year she joined the Karen Zoid variety talk show Republiek van Zoid Afrika in a segment called "Keeping up with Marinda", playing the younger sister (Mielie) of Marinda Senekal (played by Zoid).
Llandi had a guest starring role in an episode of the kykNET sitcom Elke Skewe Pot which aired on 16 July, 2018 (Season 2, Episode 2).
The following year she brought the character of Mielie to the kykNET soapie Getroud Met Rugby, first appearing in Season 3, Episode 203 (which aired on 9 January, 2019).
In 2020 she landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as Kleintjie, Bertie's (Wilhelm van der Walt) best friend, in the kykNET comedy-drama series Ekstra Medium.
Kleintjie is very loyal to Bertie and follows blindly where he leads, but struggles to step out of her own comfort zone. To a large extent she is the heart of the series and her metaphorically broad shoulders become a place for everyone to offload on.
The series premiered on 22 September, 2020.
