Bio
Noxolo Dlamini is a South African dancer, actress and fitness coach best known for her starring role as Ntombi in the Netflix drama series Jiva!.
Hailing from Chiawelo township in Soweto, she spent two years at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg and later graduated from the University of Pretoria with a BA in Dramatic Arts, in 2014.
After appearing in several stage productions she got her big break in 2016 when she was cast as the title role in Mbongeni Ngema's production of the musical Sarafina!, replacing Leleti Khumalo in the role.
She went on to play the lead role of Nala in the The Lion King on an international tour and played one of the leads in James Ngcobo's production Nina Simone: Four Women, at the Market Theatre in 2019.
Noxolo made her television acting debut with a small cameo in an episode of the Danish miniseries Liberty, which was shot on location in South Africa, in 2018.
Her South African television debut was in the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya in the recurring role of Nkosazana, making her first appearance in Season 7, Episode 156, which aired on 14 October, 2019.
She later had a cameo role in an episode of the SABC1 soapie Uzalo which aired on 18 January, 2021 (Season 6, Episode 226).
Noxolo landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as Ntombi, a talented street dancer from Umlazi who must confront her fears and deal with family objections to pursue her dancing dreams, in the Netflix drama series Jiva!.
The series debuted worldwide on 24 June, 2021.
