Asavela Mngqithi is a South African actress best known for her role as Ntwenhle in the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya.
Hailing from Umzimkhulu in Durban, she attended AFDA before dropping out in her third year due to financial constraints.
In 2018 she auditioned for a role in the Mzansi Magic soapie Isithembiso, but was called back to audition for Isibaya instead.
Asavela debuted in the role of Ntwenhle on Isibaya on 26 February, 2018 (Season 5, Episode 251) and continued to play the role until the show ended in 2021.
Her second role in television was a starring role as Amogelang in the second season of the 1Magic drama series Abomama, which premiered on 1Magic on 3 July and on Mzansi Magic on 5 July, 2021.
