Bio
Ntando Zondi is a South African actor best known for playing the younger version of the title character in the Mzansi Magic period drama series Shake iLembe.
Born and raised in KwaMashu in KwaZulu-Natal, he attended Glenwood High School where he showed an interest in and aptitude for performing.
Despite no formal acting training he was cast as Young Shaka in the drama series Shaka iLembe, after auditioning with hundreds of others for the role.
The show premiered on 18 June, 2003.
The following year he was nominated in Best Newcomer category at the 2024 Simon Mabhunu Sabela Film and Television Awards for this role.
He also played young Napoleon "The Butcher" Dingiswayo on the ShowMax serial killer thriller Red Ink, for release in 2024.
In the same year he was cast in the role of Themba on the Mzansi Wethu soapie Sibongile & the Dlaminis, making his first appearance in the role in Season 2, Episode 3, which aired on 31 July, 2024.
