Irvan Damon (born August 1973) is a South African entrepreneur best known as a contestant on the first season of the reality television competition Big Brother South Africa on M-Net, in 2001.
He was the eighth housemate evicted from the house, on Sunday 2 December, 2001. He placed 5th in the competition.
He also stars in the SABC2 variety comedy show Colour TV, in 2011.
Damon is the co-founder and partner in Carbon d’ Afreeque, a specialist eco-entrepreneurship company, specialising in re cycling reclaimed advertising billboards into high-end eco-accessories.
He holds an MASocSci (UCT Environmental Policymaking), Petroleum Policy Eco Dipl (Wits Business School) and an MPhilEng (UCT, EDRC open thesis).
Irvan also hosts Greendrinks in JHB, a green network that meets once a month to exchange views around issues affecting our planet on a local and international level.
He is also the creator, co-host (with girlfriend Gabriella Alberoni) and content producer of the green lifestyle show Hybrid Living which aired weekly on SABC2 from November 2007 to March 2008 and on SABC3 from April to September 2008.
Hybrid Living is an eco-lifestyle show showcasing how you can still live a greener lifestyle without having to give up the Earth.
