Bio
David Adelson has served as Producer/Music Correspondent for E! News since 1992, reporting on events, issues and trends in the music industry.
During his tenure at E!, Adelson has produced hundreds of stories and interviewed countless artists, including Madonna, Ricky Martin, Sting, U2, Janet Jackson and the Dixie Chicks to name just a few!
He has also produced and hosted numerous music-related specials for the network, including 1996's historic Sting in Vietnam, when Sting was the first major artist to play a concert in the country.
Adelson was awarded the prestigious MAP Award for 2000 by the Musicians Assistance Program, honouring his work helping members of the music community battle alcohol and drug addiction.
Adelson is also a contributor to E!'s highly rated travel series Wild On and has filed reports from such exotic and diverse locales as St. Lucia, London, Russia, Egypt, Iceland, Monte Carlo and Jamaica.
Adelson is also Vice President and Managing Editor of Hits magazine, a music-industry trade publication, where he's served since its inception in 1986. He oversees all writing and production of the magazine.
Prior to Hits, from 1983 to 1986, Adelson served as Managing Editor of the music-industry trade publication Cash Box Magazine .
Adelson has also written for the Los Angeles Times, including contributing to its weekly "Pop Eye" column.
From January 1998 to January 2000, he hosted the radio show C-Notes on KLSX (97.1 FM) in Los Angeles.
Adelson currently resides on a houseboat in Los Angeles, where he has lived since 1991.
