Melinda Clarke is an American actress best known for her television roles as Julie Cooper on The O.C. and as Amanda, a master manipulator who has assumed control of Division, in the action thriller television series Nikita.
Clarke appeared in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, and starred on Soldier of Fortune, Inc. for both of its seasons. She also guest starred on Xena: Warrior Princess, Firefly, Charmed, and has had four memorable appearances on CSI in which she played the dominatrix, Lady Heather.
She also had a five-episode run as Detective Olivia Cahill on The District, from 2002-2003.
Other television shows Clarke has appeared in include Jake And The Fatman, Seinfeld, Sliders, Nash Bridges, Star Trek: Enterprise, Everwood, and Tremors.
She also appeared on the dramedy Entourage as a fictionalised version of herself, married to Malcolm McDowell's Terrance McQuewick.
Feature films Clarke has acted in include Hot Under the Collar (1991), Return of the Living Dead III (1993), Return to Two Moon Junction (1995), Mulholland Falls (1996), Spawn (1997), .com for Murder (2002), Cold Sweat (2002) and 88 Minutes (2007).
Clarke has an extensive musical theatre background that includes roles in The Music Man, Oklahoma, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Hello Dolly and The Fantastiks.
Her dramatic stage credits include the critically-acclaimed Vicious, The Elephant Man, Lie of the Mind and Dark of the Moon.
Clarke has had two mass-marketed toy action figures made of her. The first was for her role as Jessica Priest in Spawn (1997), and her second was for her role as the Amazon Velasca from the television series Xena: Warrior Princess.
She has been married to actor Ernie Mirich since 28 June, 1997. The couple have one child.
