Bio
Christa Miller is an American actress best known for her roles in the television series The Drew Carey Show, Scrubs and Cougar Town.
She also voiced the role of Cleopatra in the short-lived animated series Clone High, from 2002-2003.
Miller has made guest appearances on Kate & Allie, Northern Exposure, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Party of Five and Seinfeld.
She has also acted in the made-for-TV movies Stepfather III (1992), A Friend to Die For (1994) and Rock & Roll Back to School Special (2001).
In addition, she has appeared in the feature films Love and Happiness (1995), Kiss & Tell (1996), Goat on Fire and Smiling Fish (1999) and The Operator (2000).
Miller was born in New York City, the daughter of 1960s model Bonnie Trompeter.
She was a model as a child, appearing in a Wonder Bread commercial when she was six months old, posing at three for Francesco Scavullo in an Ivory soap advertisement, and photographed for the cover of Redbook magazine.
Her days as a child model were curtailed after an operation for a benign bone tumour.
After attending Convent of the Sacred Heart, Miller returned briefly to modeling, but soon took acting lessons, abandoning modeling for good when she moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1990.
She has been married to Scrubs and Cougar Town creator, writer, director and producer Bill Lawrence since 27 November 1999. The couple have three children: Charlotte Sarah (b. 2000); William Stoddard (b. 2003); and Henry Vanduzer (b. October 2006).
