Vivica A. Fox is an American actress best known for her role as hard-nosed FBI special agent Nicole Scott in the second and third seasons of the television series Missing. She also served as co-executive producer of the show.
In 2003 and 2004 she co-starred in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2, with Uma Thurman, Darryl Hannah, Lucy Liu and David Carradine. She then switched gears and appeared in the feature fairy tale Ella Enchanted, with Anne Hathaway.
Fox's other feature films also include the romantic comedy Boat Trip, with Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. and the action thriller Blast, with Eddie Griffith.
She showed off her basketball skills in the comedy Juwanna Mann, with Kevin Pollack, Miguel Nunez, Tommy Davidson and Kim Wayans.
Preceding that, Fox headlined the comedy film Two Can Play That Game, in which she and Morris Chestnut participate in a battle of the sexes.
She also co-starred in Kingdom Come, with an ensemble cast featuring Whoopi Goldberg, L.L. Cool J and Jada Pinkett-Smith. Other feature films include Independence Day, Set It Off, Soul Food, Batman and Robin, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, Double Take, Teaching Mrs. Tingle and Idle Hands.
Fox's television films include Showtime's Hendrix and The Wonderful World of Disney's A Saintly Switch,opposite David Alan Grier and Golden Girl Rue McClanahan.
In 1998 Fox enjoyed success headlining her own sitcom, Getting Personal, opposite Elliot Gould, Jon Cryer and Duane Martin. Her other television work includes the ABC sitcom Arsenio and the NBC comedy Out All Night, playing Patti LaBelle's feisty fashion designer daughter.
Fox recently served as an expert judge alongside Academy Award winner Faye Dunaway and acclaimed casting director Joseph Middleton on The Starlet.
Fox and Will Smith won the MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Kiss for Independence Day.
In 2008 she hosted the short-lived reality competition series Glam God, which aired on VH1. In it she searched for the person who has what it takes to be a visionary in fashion trends. The show was won by Indashio.
In 2009 she was the host of the reality competition television series The Cougar and later starred in the syndicated sitcom Mr. Box Office.
