Bio
David Walliams is an English comedian and actor best known for his partnership with Matt Lucas in the sketch show Little Britain and the spoof interview series Rock Profile.
He also stars with Lucas in the mockumentary comedy show Come Fly with Me, which the pair also created.
Walliams was raised in Surrey, England. It was while studying drama at Bristol University that he first met Matt Lucas with whom he formed his most enduring and significant professional relationship.
They started together on the London stand-up circuit before making it onto TV with the 1999 series Rock Profiles, which was followed by the multi-award winning, comedy milestone, Little Britain.
Walliams has however worked a lot around his comedy schedule, with other appearances on television in Black Books, Hustle and Spaced as well as international films such as A Cock and Bull Story, and is the author of a number of children's books.
Alongside his television and film appearances, Walliams is also known for his charitable achievements, notably for Comic Relief and Sport Relief, for which he has swum the English Channel as well as the Gibraltar Strait — and recorded a series of TV panel shows, past and present, for a straight 24 hours in front of a live studio audience.
In 2012 Walliams joined the judging panel of the talent show Britain's Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
