Steve Kanaly is an American actor best known for his role as Southfork Ranch foreman Ray Krebbs on the television soap opera Dallas, from 1978 to 1991.
He was initially cast as Bobby Ewing on Dallas before being given the role of Bobby's illegitimate half brother Ray Krebbs.
He also had a short role on the soapie All My Children in 1994.
Other television shows Kanaly has appeared in include Starsky And Hutch; The Bionic Woman; Hawaii Five-O; Charlie's Angels; The Love Boat; Hotel; The Twilight Zone; Walker, Texas Ranger; and The Division.
He also appeared in a number of feature films, including Dillinger (1973); Act of Vengeance (1974); Midway (1976); Big Wednesday (1978); Balboa (1986); Double Trouble (1992); Midnight Blue (1997); Leaving the Land (2002); and Lost in Plainview (2005), which was his last screen appearance.
Kanaly reprised his role as Ray Krebbs for the 1998 made-for-TV movie Dallas: War of the Ewings. Other TV movies he has appeared in include The November Plan (1976); Amelia Earhart (1976); Young Joe, the Forgotten Kennedy (1977); and To Find My Son (1980).
He also appeared in a trilogy of made-for-TV movies in the mid-nineties called The Last Chance Detectives: Mystery Lights of Navajo Mesa (1994), Legend of the Desert Bigfoot (1995) and Escape from Fire Lake (1996).
In addition, Kanaly directed three episodes of Dallas from 1987-1989.
