Leisha Hailey is an American actress best known for her role as Alice Pieszecki in the television drama series The L Word, from 2004-2009.
Hailey grew up in Nebraska and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her acting credits include guest roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Drop Dead Diva and Grey's Anatomy.
Her film credits include roles in The Snowflake Crusade (2002), Size 'Em Up (2001) and Sleeping Beauties (1999).
She also has a strong focus on music. As one of the pop-rock duo The Murmurs, she recorded three albums for MCA Records during the 90s. The band later changed their name to Gush,but broke up when Leisha joined The L Word.
She is now in the band Uh Huh Her.
In the early 1990's Leisha was involved in a relationship with k.d.lang. She is openly lesbian.
She played an extra sitting in a coffee shop in the episode of Ellen where Ellen announced she was gay.
