In the world of the written word, Les launched and edited the award-winning weekly newspaper magazine Sunday Life and has been a columnist and feature writer for Cosmopolitan magazine (where she was managing editor), Visi, Femina, Men's Health and O magazine.
She heads her own media company, Write Angles Editing and has co-published edited and written several books including Cape of Flames, Spill!, South - a new décor book on South African style - and has contributed to Laugh the Beloved Country which is about humour in South Africa over the decades.
She is currently editor of an award-winning quarterly lifestyle magazine, Icon.
In the electronic media, she has hosted her own show on 567 Cape Talk featuring food, wine, property and shopping.
On M-Net's award-winning programme Carte Blanche, she is a presenter and field reporter. She produced the Cosmo Show on M-Net and inserts for Carte Blanche.
She is also a scriptwriter and creative director behind the scenes on SABC3's magazine programme, Top Billing.
She has just completed a series of three-minute commercials for Plascon, House & Leisure and Woolworths for M-Net.
She is also the key communication's lecturer at Wits Business School and is a media and editorial adviser for a variety of corporate clients. She has recently launched a series of national workshops based on her crossover knowledge of communications that span written, spoken and visual media.
Lesley-Anne Aupiais was educated at St Anne's Diocesan College in Natal and then at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg.
