Shona Ferguson was a Botswana-born South African actor and producer best known for his role as Dr. Leabua on the Venda soapie Muvhango, from 2006-2008 and for his role as Jerry Maake on The Queen.
He also starred as Itumeleng Tladi, the charismatic and powerful protector of his community and heir-apparent to the chieftaincy, in the M-Net soap opera The Wild, from 2011-2013.
He married Generations star Connie Ferguson in 2001.
In 2013 the couple produced and starred in the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville.
They later created, produced and starred in the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen and the Netflix series Kings of Jo'burg.
Shona died at Milpark hospital in Johannesburg on Friday 30 July, 2021, following hospitalisation for COVID-19. He was 47.
