Christina Ricci is an American actress best known for her role as Wednesday Addams in the successful Addams Family films. In later years she is known for her roles in films such as The Ice Storm, 200 Cigarettes, Sleepy Hollow, Prozac Nation, Monster and Cursed.
She also had a starring role in the short-lived period drama television series Pan Am, from 2011-2012.
Ricci was born in 1980 in Santa Monica, California, the youngest of four children of a lawyer father and realtor mother. She made her screen debut at the age of 9 in Mermaids (1990), in which she worked with Cher.
Her breakthrough adult role was in The Ice Storm (1997), in which she plays a nymphet who skillfully seduces two brothers. She worked with Johnny Depp and Casper Van Dien in the Tim Burton film Sleepy Hollow (1999).
Christina has guest starred in a number of television series including Malcolm in the Middle, Ally McBeal, Joey, Grey's Anatomy and Saving Grace.
After making the top of PETA's 2006 worst-dressed list and receiving a letter from PETA Christina decided to give up wearing fur.
