Bio
Cuma Mashicila has spent most of her career working in television.
She has worked on various productions including Get Real, YOTV's Wildroom, Shake Rattle & Roll, Road 2 Riches and Live LOTTO.
Cuma was born in Port Elizabeth, where she completed her schooling at Alexander Road High School. After matriculating in 1996, she went on to Rhodes University where she later received her Bachelor of Journalism Honours, specialising in Television, and Educational Drama and Dance.
In 1997 she was Head Student of New House Girls Residence at Rhodes University and she was the lead actress in the 3rd Year's Directors Piece – The Lion and the Jewel.
In 1999 Cuma was a Cue TV News Reporter and in 2000 she was a Cue TV Field Presenter on The Review Show. Also in 2000, Cuma became a News Reporter with SABC News during the Highway Africa Conference.
Cuma's other interest include Educational Television, Conceptualising, Advertising & Promotions, Acting, Photography, Travel and Cooking.
