Sharon Gless is an American actress best known for her roles as Eddie Albert's and Robert Wagner's young secretary Maggie Philbin on the 1970s series, Switch, Christine Cagney on Cagney & Lacey in the 1980s, and as Debbie Novotny on Queer as Folk (2000-2005).
In 1991, Sharon married Barney Rosenzweig, the producer of Cagney & Lacey.
Gless narrated a 1998 documentary about Ayn Rand titled A Sense of Life, a film by Michael Paxton. It received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary.
In 2006 she starred in the BBC television series, The State Within.
From 2007-2013 she played the role of Madeline Westen, the mother of Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan), in the television action series Burn Notice.
