Omar Gooding is an American actor best known for his roles in the television shows Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Smart Guy, Playmakers and Barbershop.
Gooding began his career as a child actor appearing in an educational film on crime, which led to work in multiple commercials.
He segued to the small screen with guest-starring roles on many top series, including CSI: Miami and Touched By An Angel, on the Network, Deadwood, The Division, Eve and One On One.
His series regular roles include Playmakers, Miami Medical, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper and Barbershop, for which he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.
Gooding's feature film debut came in Bill Cosby's Ghost Dad. He was then tapped by director John Singleton to play a pivotal role in the film Baby Boy, for which he also earned critical praise.
Additionally, Gooding co-hosted the popular Nickelodeon show Wild & Crazy Kids.
Gooding lives in Los Angeles and is the younger brother of Cuba Gooding, Jr. and the son of Cuba Gooding, Sr.
