Andrea Roth is an American actress best known for her starring role as Janet Gavin, Tommy Gavin’s estranged wife, on the television drama series Rescue Me, from 2004-2011.
A native of Woodstock, Ontario, Andrea Roth attended college in Toronto where an ad agency internship led to her working as a print and runway model prior to becoming one of Canada’s leading new actresses.
Following a series of parts in the telefilms The Good Fight, In Spite of Love, and A Change of Place, and a role in the series Robocop, Roth’s big break came when she was chosen to star alongside Sally Field and Ron Silver in the Emmy Award-winning miniseries A Woman of Independent Means.
Roth subsequently went on to appear in the telefilms Divided by Hate, Personally Yours, The Agency, All Around the Town, and The Perfect Husband.
In addition to a regular series role in Lucky, and a recurring role on CSI, she has guest starred on Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Hitchhiker, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, Forever Knight, Murder, She Wrote, The Outer Limits, Nash Bridges, The Pretender, Diagnosis Murder, and Law & Order.
On film, Roth appeared alongside Jim Caviezel in Highwayman, and was cast in Dangerous Attraction, The Stepdaughter (on which she was also an associate producer), and The Untold.
She also acted in the feature films The Skeptic with Edward Herrmann and Timothy Daly; and Rogue.
