Lee Curreri is an American actor, composer and musician best known for his role as Bruno Martelli (the keyboard maven) in the 1980 feature film Fame and its spinoff TV series. He wrote and performed several of the show's hit songs.
He has worked as a producer for some major names in the industry, including:Natalie Cole (EMI) and Phil Perry (Capitol), Siedah Garrett, Nicolette Larson Kid Creole and the Coconuts. He's worked as an arrangerkeyboardist with artists such as 'Brenda Russell' Ernie Isley (Elektra), "E" (Polydor), Gregory Gray (Elektra), The Royal Macadamians (Island), Martha Davis and Sly Stone (on the soundtrack for "Soul Man"), In Vitro (Manhattan), Olivia Newton-John and Jon Hassell (Warner).
Curreri has scored a CBS-TV Movie of the Week starring Mickey Rooney entitled "Bill On His Own", he has written music for four television documentaries for Metromedia and HBO, and wrote two theme songs for network and syndicated specials.
He worked as an arranger for the Public Theatre in New York under Joseph Papp.
Currently he works with Jeff Rona on music for show "Chicago Hope", he also has two animation shows with music by him and Rusty Andrews.
