Darren Craig Verouiel was born in Secunda and currently lives in Alberton, south of Johannesburg. He goes to school at the National School of Arts and loves singing and drama. He also has a keen interest in cricket, soccer, swimming and tennis. Darren’s love for music started at the age of eight when he began acting and singing in church productions and he's thrilled by captivating an audience.His greatest influences are his mother and father because of their support and confidence in his musical career. His dream holiday would be a fun-filled trip to Singapore, spent on white beaches and staying in luxurious hotels. His favourite film is Simone and he never misses an episode of Veronica Mars. Darren has great respect for Whitney Houston as an accomplished musician. His celeb coach for Supersterre is Pieter Koen.
