Shaun Tait is a South African singer who - at the age of 14 - won the first season of the reality singing show Supersterre, in 2006.
He was crowned the winner on Friday 17 November, 2006.
Tait won a recording contract with Sony BMG, as well as R100,000.
His Celeb Coach - Nádine - won a million-rand property on a game farm, sponsored by Steve Hofmeyr.
Tait was born and has lived in Brackenfell, Cape Town, all his life. He loves playing the guitar and started music lessons at the age of nine.
His other passions are playing hockey, golf and cricket. Shaun is determined to be a world-famous artist and looks up to Elvis Presley as his musical inspiration.
His greatest influences are his grandfathers as one of them used to be a musician himself. He dreams of a fun-filled holiday to the US Disneyland. He owns two lazy, fat cats that he loves dearly.
His favourite film is The Fast and the Furious and he spends his spare time watching Smallville and NCIS. Musicians who inspire him are Gareth Gates, Nianell and Josh Groban.
