Bio
Wade Williams is an American actor best known for his starring role as Captain Brad Bellick on the television drama series Prison Break, from 2005-2009.
Williams and his three siblings were born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a youth, Williams was interested in drama and music, beginning at church, but he did not intend to pursue acting as a career.
After high school, Williams planned to take pre-med coursework at the University of Tulsa (TU). His interest in music and drama never waned and eventually he changed career paths.
Williams completed his bachelor’s degree in theatrical studies at TU and later obtained a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he studied under William Esper.
Williams began his acting career at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park in The Taming of the Shrew, with Morgan Freeman and Tracy Ullman. Williams also had a role with Denzel Washington in Richard III.
He then continued with performances on and off Broadway and toured nationally in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Ragtime, and Showboat.
His film credits include Flicka, Jarhead, Collateral, Ali, and Erin Brockovich.
Additionally, Williams has appeared in numerous television series including Over There, Six Feet Under, Prison Break, 24, NYPD Blue, CSI and The Bernie Mac Show.
He lives in Texas with his wife and daughter.
