Bio
Olivia Brown is an American actress best known for her role as Det. Trudy Joplin on the television series Miami Vice, from 1984-1990.
She has also had notable recurring roles in the television series Hill Street Blues; Designing Women; Dear John; Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman; Beverly Hills, 90210; Moesha; and 7th Heaven.
Other shows she has appeared in include The Outsiders; T.J. Hooker; Monsters; Family Matters; The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air; Sister, Sister; The Gregory Hines Show, and Murder Call.
Brown has also appeared in a number of feature films, including 48 Hrs. (1982), Streets of Fire (1984), Throw Momma from the Train (1987), Identity Crisis (1989), Man's Best Friend (1993) and Mr. P's Dancing Sushi Bar (1998).
In addition, she has had roles in the made-for-TV movies I Can Jump Puddles (1981) and Memories of Murder (1990).
