Bio
Tina Holmes is an American actress best known for her starring role as Moira Doherty, who has spent much of her adult life in and out of various mental institutions, in the mystery drama television series Persons Unknown, in 2010.
Holmes appeared alongside Evan Rachel Wood, Ron Livingston and James Woods in the feature film Pretty Persuasion (2005) directed by Marcos Siega.
She made her film debut as Maggie (ironically enough, as she plays a character called Maggie in Six Feet Under) in the The Edge of Seventeen (1998)
Her subsequent film credits include Fixed (2005), Waking Dreams, (2004), Storytelling (2001), Seven and a Match (2001), Prince of Central Park (2000), The Photographer (2000), Godass (2000) and 30 Days (1999).
In 2002 Holmes appeared in the USA Network's Steven Spielberg's Emmy- and Golden Globe award-winning mini-series Taken.
Holmes' additional television credits include guest-starring roles in 24, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NYPD Blue, Strong Medicine, Judging Amy, ER, The Division and Third Watch.
In addition to acting, Holmes has spent a considerable amount of time studying, travelling and researching and pursuing a variety of interests including foreign language and documentary film.
She grew up in New York City and Connecticut and currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband.
