David W. Harper is an American actor best known for his role as Jim-Bob Walton, a role he first played in the 1971 movie The Homecoming: A Christmas Story, and subsequently in the television series The Waltons.Apart from appearing in the later Waltons movies, he appears to have given up his acting career, although he does make personal appearances at "Waltons" functions.His last credited performance was in the 1997 made-for-TV movie A Walton Easter.He is currently an artist and art dealer in Los Angeles.
