Teryl Rothery is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Dr. Janet Fraiser on the sci-fi television series Stargate SG-1, from 1997-2006.
A Vancouver native, Rothery always knew she wanted to be an entertainer. Her career began as a dancer at age thirteen when she performed in her first musical Bye Bye Birdie.
Her role in Annie Get Your Gun earned her a Most Outstanding Performer award with her theatre company.
At age 18, Teryl made her first television appearance in the CBC Halloween Special Boo. It was at this time she decided that her place was in front of the camera.
Teryl has had lead roles in the made for television movies Race Against Fear, Hunt in Full Cry with Rosanna Arquette, Dead Man's Gun with John Ritter, Badge of Betrayal with Michele Greene, Deceived By Trust with Stephanie Kramer, and Tailhook with Gail O'Grady and Hal Holbrook, which was based on the real-life Tailhook scandal.
She was a series regular Stargate SG-1 from the show's beginning in 1997 until 2004 (and again as a guest appearance in 2006).
She has also appeared on many other sci-fi series, including The X-Files, The Outer Limits, First Wave, Jeremiah, M.A.N.T.I.S., Smallville, The Dead Zone, Supernatural, Kyle XY and Eureka.
Her other television credits include guest starring roles in Traders, Viper, The Commish, Profit, Da Vinci's Inquest, Cold Squad, Huff and Psych.
She has also appeared in the feature films Warriors of Virtue, Magic in the Water with Mark Harmon, Mastermind with Patrick Stewart, and Andre with Keith Carradine.
