Bio
Kyle White is a South African television presenter best known for presenting the e.tv magazine show 20Something, since 28 October 2007.
Born in Westville, Durban, Kyle’s family moved to the sleepy Eastern Cape coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea when he was 11-years old.
It was while doing grade 11 that he discovered his talent and ultimate passion for the entertainment industry when he was introduced into the line-up of a Port Elizabeth based youth radio station, Bay FM.
He continued with that gig until he started his first year, as a Journalism student, at Rhodes University in 2006.
When he was at varsity he joined the line-up for Rhodes Music Radio (RMR), as a news reader. During his stay in Grahamstown he also pursued his passion for music by playing at numerous clubs, playing alongside DJ's such as Lady Lea, Craig De Sousa and Roger Goode.
Towards the end of his first year at Rhodes University, Kyle involved himself in the MTV Base VJ search and made it into the last five at the Port Elizabeth auditions.
He wasn't satisfied with the outcome so he traveled to the Johannesburg audition the following weekend for one last shot at fame and fortune – and this time made one of the four places in the final.
He competed against the other finalists during the first two episodes of MTV base World Chart Express, but lost out to Fikile Moeti, coming second.
He decided to leave varsity after his first year and in 2007 began pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, which resulted in him being chosen to co-host 20something with Namhla Ndlovu.
