Amanda Seyfried is an American actress and former child model, best known for her roles in the 2004 movie Mean Girls and the television series Veronica Mars and Big Love.
Seyfried started her career modeling at the age of 11, appearing on the cover of three Francine Pascal books. She landed her first contract role as Lucinda Marie 'Lucy' Montgomery on As the World Turns in 2000.

She can also be seen in the independent films Nine Lives (alongside Glenn Close, Holly Hunter and Sissy Spacek), American Gun, where she stars opposite Donald Sutherland, Forest Whitaker and Marcia Gay Harden, and the film Alpha Dogs, A Nick Cassavetes project about a kidnapping that takes place over a drug debt.
Amanda plays the role of Julie with costars Justin Timberlake, Sharon Stone and Emile Hirsh.
