Lee-Ann van Rooi is a South African actress and educator best known for her role as Rochelle on the SABC2 comedy Fishy Feshuns.
Lee-Ann graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1994 with a Performers Diploma in Speech and Drama, a BA Drama and English degree in 1995 and she completed her Higher Diploma in Education in 1998.
She received the Avante Award in 2000 for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Sitcom for Fishy Feshuns.
Over the years she has been a professional performer (stage, television, film and voice artist), as well as a writer, international educator and trainer.
Lee-Ann has tutored first year drama students at the University of Cape Town, taught Communication Skills and Theatre History at the Siyanda Theatre Lab in the Northern Cape and A.F.D.A. - School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance in Cape Town.
Besides teaching and focusing on her personal performance career, Lee-Ann is also the marketing and project co-ordinator for Fusion Worx, an innovative theatre company.
In 2013 she had a recurring role on the kykNET crime anthology series Die Boland Moorde (The Boland Murders) as Sophia Williams.
In 2015 she had a starring role in the kykNET drama series Die Boekklub (The Book Club).
