Michael Kostroff is an American actor best known for his recurring role as sleazy lawyer Maurice 'Maury' Levy on the HBO television drama series The Wire, from 2002-2008.
Kostroff has based his career largely on guest appearances in television shows. These include General Hospital, Port Charles, Providence, Felicity, Malcolm In The Middle, The King Of Queens, The West Wing, 8 Simple Rules, ER, Stacked, Charmed, Boston Legal, Veronica Mars, Commander in Chief, The Closer, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
He has acted in the feature films Return from the River Kwai (his screen debut in 1989), Liar Liar (1997), Blunt (1998), The Trumpet of the Swan (2001), and Marco Polo: Return to Xanadu (2001).
He also appeared in the 2001 made-for-TV movie Surviving Gilligan's Island: The Incredibly True Story of the Longest Three Hour Tour in History.
