Patricia Richardson is an American actress best known for her role as Jill Taylor on the sitcom Home Improvement, playing the role in 195 episodes from 1991-1999.
She earned a total of four Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations for playing Tim Allen's wife.
She was also a series regular on Strong Medicine, appearing in 59 episodes.
Richardson has also had recurring roles in Double Trouble, Eisenhower & Lutz, FM, ABC TGIF, and The West Wing, in which she played Republican presidential candidate Arnold Vinick's campaign director, running until the end of the series in 2006.
She has guest starred on a number of shows, including Kat & Allie, Spenser: For Hire, The Cosby Show, Quantum Leap, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
She has had roles in movies such as Parent Trap III (1989), Blonde (2001) and Candy Paint (2005), and won an Independent Spirit nomination in 1997 for her first starring film role, in the made-for-TV movie Ulee's Gold.
