Bio
Sprague Grayden is an American actress best known for her starring role as schoolteacher Heather Lisinski in the post-apocalyptic television drama series Jericho, from 2006-2008.
She also has a starring role as Maya Callis - the wife of crime boss Damon Callis who is every bit as fierce, intelligent and ruthless as her husband - in the American remake of the British crime drama miniseries Low Winter Sun.
Grayden began performing at age 5, appearing in commercials, the film Dad and local plays, including Strong Man's Weak Child, written and directed by Israel Horowitz.
While attending college in New York, Sprague became a member of the Off Broadway company Drama Dept. She recently read the lead role in Little Diva, a public screenplay reading at Drama Dept.
Her additional theatre credits include The Vagina Monologues, Fool for Love and Waiting for Lefty.
After receiving a B.A. cum laude in American studies from Barnard College at Columbia University, Grayden returned to her roots and began pounding the New York City pavements looking for theatrical work.
She starred as Anita in the HBO series Six Feet Under and had a recurring role as Joan's best friend, Judith Montgomery, in Joan of Arcadia. She has had recurring roles on FX's Sons of Anarchy and USA Network's White Collar and has guest starred on Touch, Prime Suspect, Grey's Anatomy, House, Law & Order: Los Angeles and Drop Dead Diva.
She also starred in Over There, Steven Bochco's ensemble drama that explored the lives of a select group of Army soldiers in combat overseas and the families they left behind, and in John Doe opposite Prison Break's Dominic Purcell.
She can also be seen starring in the Paramount Pictures' Paranormal Activity franchise.
Grayden was born in Manchester, Massachusetts.
