Stephen Spinella is an American actor best known for his role as Homeland Security bureaucrat Miles Papazian in the fifth season of the action series 24, in 2006.
He has made guest appearances on numerous television shows including Law & Order, Frasier, Without a Trace, Huff, Everwood, Alias, Will & Grace, Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Heroes and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Spinella has also appeared in a number of feature films including The Jackal (1997), Great Expectations (1998), Cradle Will Rock (1999), Bubble Boy (2001), Connie and Carla (2004), House of D (2004), Stone & Ed (2006) and And Then Came Love (2007).
Has won two Tony Awards for his roles in the two parts of Angels in America: in 1993, as Best Actor (Featured Role - Play) for Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, and in 1994, as Best Actor (Play) for: Angels in America: Perestroika.
He was also Tony-nominated in 2000 as Best Actor (Featured Role - Musical) for James Joyce's The Dead.
He graduated from the University of Arizona drama department.
Spinella is openly gay.
