Mandla Thabethe (12 January, 1968 - 31 January, 2010) was a South African actor and producer best known for his role as Bongo in the television sitcom Family Bonds, from 2007-2009.
He was also the creator of Family Bonds and produced it with his production company Sosiba Entertainment, which he founded in 2000.
Mandla died in the early hours of Sunday morning 31 January, 2010, in a motorcycle accident near the Emerald Casino, south of Johannesburg. He was 42.
